Georgina joined the team in 2023 after graduating from the University of East Anglia with a First-Class BA (Hons) in International Relations. Since joining Wilby Jones, she has worked with clients across a wide range of sectors, initially specialising in architecture and the built environment before expanding her expertise into STEM industries including engineering, software, and manufacturing.
As an R&D Tax Consultant, Georgina enjoys working closely with clients to understand complex projects and translate highly technical information into clear, engaging narratives. She is particularly skilled at making specialist concepts accessible to non-industry audiences while ensuring claims accurately reflect the innovation and challenges involved. Alongside her report-writing responsibilities, Georgina has a strong interest in the financial side of R&D tax claims. An enthusiastic Excel user, she developed Wilby Jones's R&D Financial Analysis report, providing clients with a valuable tool to review, compare and understand their R&D activity across multiple claim periods. Georgina is committed to staying up to date with developments in the R&D tax landscape and is currently studying towards the ATT/CTA qualification pathway to become a Chartered Tax Adviser. She has also mentored new members of the team, finding it particularly rewarding to support colleagues as they develop into confident and capable consultants.
