Transformation of an Order Management System

The client sought to develop a new process that could improve workflow efficiency for a legacy asset management and order management system, while ensuring data retention throughout the transformation. It was determined that as a result of the non-standard nature of legacy systems, existing processes could not be employed in this scenario. Furthermore, the company were required to intimately understand the customer’s asset management business and the underlying mathematics, requiring considerable time spent understanding the risks and considerations associated with this type of business. Upon the success of this project, the client would set a new standard for the upgrade of complex legacy systems, and advance overall knowledge surrounding similar projects of this nature.

 Integration of Disparate Data Systems

The client also sought to integrate two specialised financial systems with disparate data structures, appreciably improving on the existing standard of API based integrations of this nature. While it was determined that some proprietary technology could be utilised to further the process, various gaps in capability meant that the full solution required further development, bespoke to the client’s complex requirements. This included building on top of existing systems and the creation of new guidelines for data integrations of this nature to avoid such costly investigations in future projects. Therefore, the client established a new standard of best practise that could be further adopted by the industry when working to integrate real-time tracking across disparate data sources and structures within the finance sector.
