Hollow Stem Piling Process
The company developed a hollow stem piling process allowing simultaneous auger removal and grout injection in small‑diameter boreholes, previously unachievable with standard techniques. The innovation centred on a proprietary grout swivel maintaining constant grout pressure, preventing borehole collapse in unstable, water‑bearing soils.
Technological challenges included sustaining grout pressure, preventing clogging, and making the process efficient for a small operating team. Through iterative testing, the team refined the swivel design, optimised a sand–cement grout mix, and streamlined workflows using remote controls and improved grout containment. The outcome was a more stable, efficient piling method, reducing costs and grout waste significantly.
